Matt Wallace is an Australian writer-director based in Melbourne. Having studied a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (Screenwriting) at The Victorian College of the Arts, he has since written and directed a number of original and adaptive projects, including short films, musicals and a web series.

His short musical comedy Con, as part of the 2019 Melbourne 48 Hour Film Festival, went on to win Best Film and Best Writing, and was screened at the international festival in Rotterdam.

After that, Matt was asked to join the writing team for RuelVision, a comic alternative universe series for the Australian artist Ruel. These were loose narrative sketches that Matt developed alongside Ruel and his creative director Jeremy Koran.

Matt has also written, directed and starred in Chutney, a dark comedy web series that screened via YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
